Glamour Photography is focused on capturing a model’s romantic attractiveness. This involves various states of undress and sensual poses. It falls between the categories of fashion photography and boudoir photography. What makes it different from fashion photography is its intent. Fashion photography focuses on the product: jewelry, clothing, shoes. It’s purpose is to sell product. Glamour photography is not meant to bring attention to the clothing or accessories. The focus is the model herself. It captures the scintillating quality women have to cast “a magic spell.”
Denver Glamour Photography vs. Denver Boudoir Photography
Boudoir photography gets its name from the French word for a woman’s private sitting room. It is meant to be a glimpse of her in various states of undress in a more private environment. In contrast to glamour photography, boudoir photography focuses on women who have not and do not model. Boudoir captures a woman’s romantic attractiveness for her own empowerment and sometimes as a gift for a significant other. Glamour has a more public presence: pin-up art, magazines, profiles.
